Dr. Massa (Ciro) has over thirty five years of experience working in both Outpatient and Inpatient settings.  He is Board Certified, with extensive work experience as both a Clinician and Director of Behavioral Health Services in various clinical settings throughout the New York and Greater New England areas.

His experience includes working with persons of various faith traditions, and is open to including the spiritual dimension into his therapy; believing that only God heals…..we are but His instruments. Dr. Massa is an experienced diagnostician who is able to discern and focus in on the core issues that his patients bring to treatment; arrive at an accurate diagnosis, and begin helping them to effectively work on their issues. 

His practice includes working with the spectrum of younger adults to those who are of more mature years (21 years Plus) helping them with, but not limited to, such issues as:  Co-Occurring Disorders (Addictive Disorders with other Behavioral Health issues); Mood Disorders (i.e. Depression; Bipolar Disorder); Grief/Bereavement; Substance Abuse Disorders; Anxiety; Thought Disorders, and Life Adjustment issues, to name a but a few.  His training includes expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy; and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy); Motivational Interviewing; Psychodynamic Therapy; and various other forms of treatment that include such techniques as guided imagery and progressive relaxation.

Ciro is accepting new clients for in-person therapy in Danielson and in our NEW Mansfield Center location. Telehealth is also available when clinically appropriate. He is credentialed with Husky/Medicaid, Anthem, Optum/United Healthcare, Cigna, Aetna, TriCare and Medicare.
